Make sure that you bring an ample amount of toiletries when you enter college. These items are important and tend to run out quickly due to frequent use. You’ll save more money if you buy them in bulk.
Make a long list of all the needed or desired tools and supplies before preparing for any upcoming college course. Being ready for school is key. This is even more important if you will be attending a college that is far away.
Keep your limitations in mind when you secure a college job. Don’t set yourself up for failure by taking early morning classes that you already know you will never make it to. Pay attention to when you feel the most energetic, and schedule your classes around that when you can.
Before beginning classes, walk through campus and figure out where you will need to be. Plan out the best strategy for navigating the campus, learning the amount of time it will take to get from class to class. You can also find libraries or cafes on your route to study or eat lunch at if you have time.
The environment you study in is extremely important. It’s not a great idea to study in your dorm. Find a place to study that is quiet. You should opt for the library. If there isn’t anywhere you can go, try getting headphones that have a noise cancelling feature.
Explore your options and pursue activities that interest and engage you during your off-time. When you engage in activities, you’ll hone your interests while having fun. However make sure to only take on what you can maintain on top of your school work.
Make sure to have breakfast. Even an apple will do. You may become distracted by hunger pain when taking an exam. Getting something to eat before a test will help you to keep your energy level up and make it easier to focus on the work at hand.
