Do you feel overwhelmed when the subject of college comes up? Are you unsure of how to proceed? You are not the only person who needs some helpful information. Although college is a new experience, you don’t need to feel overwhelmed. Use the information here to make your college experience both rewarding and fun.
When you go to college, bring along shampoo, conditioner, soap and so on. You’ll go through these toiletries pretty fast through regular use. Buying in bulk can help save money on these commonly used items.
Don’t wait until it’s too late to start applying for grant money and scholarships before going to college. Spending more time looking for grants or scholarships will allow you to borrow less when it comes time to pay for school. Come up with a good system for monitoring deadlines and be sure to turn in applications as early before deadlines as possible.
Map out your classes and schedule before the first class. Time your route from one course to the next, and plan the best way to get there. Include other resources, like student aid and the cafeteria, on your map for ease of use.
Get your sleep! It can be tempting, especially when living in a dorm, to stay up all night and party and try to cram in studying, but you have got to get some good sleep. All-nighters will eventually catch up to you and affect your ability to concentrate.
Catch the local transportation to your classes. You’ll likely discover that you won’t spend much longer going to class by the bus. For one thing, you won’t have to find a parking space. You can also save gas money. It’s also a great way to “go green.”
You should enjoy college. You are learning skills that you will use for the rest of your life, and you are developing as a person. By taking what you learned here, you will have a fabulous experience in college.
